Good evening Fallingbrook families.
We'd like to start by congratulating students, parents and staff for making our first two days a success! This week we welcomed back our returning students; and were pleased to welcome many new students in each of our classrooms. It was nice to see how quickly everyone made new friends and adjusted to the school routines. We held an assembly today where we discussed the importance of: being kind, being safe, trying our best, and having fun! We also underscored how we all face difficult situations, but that we will always do our best to be resilient and never give up!
The province wide restrictions on mobile devices (cellphones, personal laptops, tablets, and smartwatches) was further explained to our grade 4-8 students. These devices are not allowed to be used during the school instructional day. This includes during recess and nutrition breaks.
Finally, we talked about many upcoming opportunities for students to get involved. Starting soon is the lunch monitor program, junior soccer, cross-country running, intermediate bands, intermediate touch football, and we’re getting ready for the Terry Fox Run.
As we visit the classrooms, we see students working hard in Math, Language, and more. We are very proud of what has been accomplished in a very short period of time.
Have a good night!
