Good afternoon Fallingbrook families.
It was so nice to see so many families last night at our Meet the Staff. We look forward to continuing our strong partnership to make this a successful year for your child(ren).
Thanks for looking at the important information below, and especially for showing support for National Truth and Reconciliation Day by wearing orange on Monday, September 30.
A reminder that tomorrow is a PA Day, and there is no school for students. Staff will be working on literacy and math initiatives, and completing training for student safety and concussion awareness.

Important Information and Updates
The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day is a day of mourning and remembrance for Indigenous Peoples, and offers an opportunity to reflect and honour survivors, their families, and communities. This important day also allows us to celebrate, value and center the rich and diverse voices of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. This year, the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation falls on Saturday, September 30. OCDSB students and staff will mark this date at school on Friday, September 29.
Fallingbrook Terry Fox Run Fundraising Update
Our Terry Fox Run is coming up next Friday, October 4th! Here at Fallingbrook, the excitement is growing as students prepare morning announcements about our Canadian hero and posters to advertise our upcoming event. Thank you to Mrs. Thorne's class for their awesome announcements and to Mr. T. McGrath's class for collecting and counting our Toonies for Terry every morning. Ms. Hare's Grade 3/4 students have been working hard on their posters that are also starting to be hung around the school.
Thank you to all families who have donated either online or with a toonie at school. So far, our school community has raised $225 in cash and $365 for a total of almost $600. All money raised goes directly to the Terry Fox Foundation for cancer research.
If you have not yet had a chance to make a donation, we will continue collecting Toonies for Terry all of next week. For online donations, please visit our school’s fundraising page: https://schools.terryfox.ca/FallingbrookCommunityESOrleans
Thank you again to all our Fallingbrook families who have donated so far to this important cause. Your generosity and support is greatly appreciated!
Thank you for supporting this year’s Terry Fox School Run and continuing Terry’s legacy!
