Dear Fallingbrook families,
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for helping with the success of this school year! Each day our students were supported by a dedicated staff of custodians, Early Childhood Educators, educational assistants, library staff, office staff, parent volunteers, support staff, and teachers. Support from our PTC is another reason Fallingbrook is such an amazing school.
June is also a time to say good-bye to some. We wish all of our grade 8 students the very best as they head off on their next adventure in high school. We know you are ready, and will make us proud. We would also like to extend our best wishes to Mrs. Nancy McKenzie and Mrs. Andrea Roman for the tremendous impact they’ve had on our school community. We sincerely wish you all the best in your retirement. Mrs. Lopez was unfortunately declared surplus at our school, and will be heading to Maple Ridge ES for September. Mrs. Melanie Babe, will be taking a year’s leave of absence. Mrs. Sara Lovett’s temporary contract with us is over and she will be heading to Featherston PS in her new permanent contract! Mr. Neil Baker’s temporary contract with us is also over and we appreciate all of his help this year. Our two Daily Occasional Teachers, Miss Amal Kanso and Miss Beth Webster, who both recently completed Teachers’ College, will be starting their new permanent contracts at Chapman Mills PS and Glen Ogilvie PS respectively. We would also like to thank our evening custodian, Dan Dempsey, You will all be missed!
We would also like to welcome new staff for the upcoming year. Ms. Chantal Clark will be joining us from Vimy Ridge PS where she was teaching, Ms. Lucia Castillo is also a teacher and is coming to us from Trillium ES, Jenny Armieri will join our team of teachers and used to work at Forest Valley ES, Ms. Shainna Janowicz is leaving Maple Ridge ES will be here as an educational assistant, and finally Ms. Cherie Laborie will be part of our team of Early Childhood Educators. We are excited to work with you starting in September!
Finally, we would like to thank our wonderful students, caring parents, and the community for your commitment and teamwork. What a great year we had! Have a wonderful and relaxing summer with your family!
Sincerely,
Jeremy Nowiski and Michelle Minogue
