Community Update
Good afternoon Fallingbrook families.
Congratulations to our Junior Track and Field Team who represented us well on Friday at the Regional Meet. Special thanks to Coaches Eustace and Briggs, and we'll be raising another banner in our gym as the grade 3 girls placed first overall!
Mr. McGrath and his class are excited to inform you about a special event that they will be hosting on Friday May 23rd. They will be holding a daytime market space in the school gymnasium, and they invite all parents, students and friends to come and participate in this unique event. This event gives students the chance to experience young entrepreneurship and creativity. On Market Day, grade 6 students will set up booths and sell a variety of items that they have made or acquired themselves. This may include homemade crafts, jewelry, refreshments, second-hand items in good condition, a performance, a challenge, a game, and so on. All items will be priced reasonably between 25 cents and a few dollars. Please note that all proceeds from the event will be used to purchase a land trust to protect species and habitat (last year we purchased land in the Frontenac Arch Biosphere near Gananoque). Thank you for your support, and they look forward to seeing you on Market Day!
Mark your calendars for Friday, May 30th, and join us for an unforgettable evening at Run4Fun, our school’s most anticipated fundraiser of the year! This family-friendly event is packed with fun, food, and fantastic entertainment for all ages. We’re thrilled to welcome School of Rock for a special performance that will have everyone dancing and singing along! This year, we're bringing in four food trucks offering everything from hearty meals to delicious desserts and fresh coffee. There’s truly something for everyone! Bring your loved ones, bring your cash (some vendors may not take cards), and most importantly—bring your smiles! Please note that parental supervision is mandatory to ensure a safe and fun experience for all. And most importantly make sure that your Run4Fun forms are returned by May 23rd.
