PA Day/ Orange Shirt Day/ Terry Fox Run/ Pizza/ Milk
Good afternoon Fallingbrook families.
It was great to see everyone at Wednesday’s Meet the Staff, and thanks to the PTC for the ice cream!
Monday, September 29 is a PA Day (no school for students) where our staff will be digging deeper on literacy initiatives to strengthen skills and improve student achievement. We’ll also be looking at student safety and well-being topics such as: supporting students with medical conditions, AI and cybersecurity.
We hope you have a relaxing weekend, and we’ll see you on Tuesday.
Sincerely,
Jeremy Nowiski and Michelle Minogue
Information and Updates
The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day is on Tuesday, September 30, and is a day of mourning and remembrance for Indigenous Peoples. It offers an opportunity to reflect and honour survivors, their families, and communities. This important day also allows us to celebrate, value and center the rich and diverse voices of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. We encourage you to wear orange on Tuesday.
It’s the 45th anniversary of Terry Fox’s Marathon of Hope. Fallingbrook is so proud to participate once again in the Terry Fox Run. Please help our students fundraise for cancer research and follow in the footsteps of one of our greatest Canadian heroes. Beginning Tuesday, September 30th, students can bring in a Toonie for Terry to support this important cause. Together, we can make a difference
