Hello Fallingbrook families,

Thanks to our PTC, who have been working hard behind the scenes! The Freezie Fridays have been a success, and we have another one tomorrow. They’re also getting ready for the Halloween Dance on October 24. There are games, food, raffles, a DJ, and more. It’s an event you don’t want to miss!

Congratulations to our Junior Soccer Teams who competed at the regional tournaments. They played hard and displayed excellent sportsmanship. Our Intermediate Cross Country Running Team performed exceptionally well yesterday, and five athletes qualified for the board championships. Our grade 3 to 6 cross country runners are competing as we speak, and we know they’re representing us well! Thanks to the parents who drove or rode on the bus with the athletes to and from the events.

October 22 is Bus Driver Appreciation Day. If you see your child's driver at the bus stop, take a moment to say thank you in person. A quick, kind word acknowledging their hard work goes a long way.

Here are some questions to ask your child when reading with them:

• What picture is forming in your head right now?
• Who does this character remind you of and why?
• Has anything like this ever happened to you before?
• If you had to tell your friend the most important thing in this chapter, in three sentences, what would you say?

Tomorrow’s a busy day. It’s our first pizza day, and it’s also picture day. A reminder that photos will be done with a green screen background. We ask that children avoid wearing green clothing or accessories tomorrow.
