Community Update
Good afternoon Fallingbrook families,
As April draws to a close, we have much to celebrate! Firstly, congratulations to our Intermediate Badminton Team for their outstanding performance at Summerside PS and Henry Larson this past Thursday. A special shout-out to Gabby, Sophia, Delphie, and Mary-Kate for their success in reaching the playoffs – well done!
This week also brought an engaging and educational experience with the Sultans of String on Tuesday, and we extend our sincere gratitude to our entire school community for their fantastic participation in the yard clean-up, also on Tuesday. Together, we collected over 3000 pieces of litter, making a real difference in protecting our environment.
Looking ahead, we want to wish some of our Grade 8 students all the best as they embark on their Mini Enrichment courses at the University of Ottawa and Carleton University next week. We hope they have a wonderful and enriching experience.
With the warmer, but sometimes unpredictable, spring weather upon us, please help us ensure your child's comfort by sending extra socks and pants/shorts in their backpack in case of any slips or splashes. Please also remember that students will continue to enjoy outdoor recess even during light rain.
Finally, we're excited to announce our upcoming Spring Concert on May 7th! Our talented students in the choir, ukulele group, and band have been working hard, and we eagerly look forward to sharing their musical achievements with you. Please mark your calendars!
Wishing you a relaxing and enjoyable weekend with family and friends.
Jeremy Nowiski (Principal) and Michelle Minogue (Vice-Principal)
