Community Update
Good afternoon Fallingbrook families.
Mental Health Week takes place from May 5-11. This year's theme, "Unmasking Mental Health," from the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), emphasizes our collective responsibility to combat the stigma surrounding mental illness and addiction. Mental Health Week 2025 google site offers resources for the school that we’ll be using at school, as well as conversation starters and activities for families. On Friday afternoon, the grade 1-8 students will all watch the movie Inside Out, which emphasized that we all experience a wide range of emotions, and that we’re all doing our best to manage our emotions and be there for each other. A review of this movie can be found HERE, and if you’d not like for your child to watch the movie, please email jeremy.nowiski@ocdsb.ca.
Congrats to our school community for successfully completing 80% of the school year! These next few weeks are going to be exciting, with track and field, PTC’s Taste and Style event on May 13 from 6-8 PM, Freezie Fridays, and our Spring Concert on May 7 starting at 7 PM!
Enjoy the weekend,
Jeremy Nowiski and Michelle Minogue
