Community Update

June 13, 2025

Good afternoon Fallingbrook families.

Congratulations to our intermediate soccer teams for representing us well at the regional championships this week. They played with heart and intensity, and made the school proud. The girls team came home with the gold medal, and we’ll be raising another championship banner in the gym!

Wishing all the dads, stepdads, grandfathers, and father figures in our school community a very Happy Father's Day! We hope you have a great day filled with joy and appreciation.

Jeremy Nowiski and Michelle Minogue

Upcoming Events:

Bike Rodeo on June 18th for Grades 1-5- Get ready for our Bike Rodeo on Wednesday, led by the City of Ottawa! This exciting event will teach students in Grades 1-5 essential bike safety skills, including: Helmet fitting, ABC Quick Check (a pre-ride bike inspection), Hand signals and Shoulder checks. Students will get to practice these new skills on a fun course.

Important Details:

  • Please ensure your child brings their bike or scooter and a helmet, clearly labeled with their name.
  • No Rain Date: The event will proceed rain or shine, so please send their bike or scooter regardless of the weather.
  • Bike Drop-off & Pick-up:
    • Most students should bring their bikes or scooters directly to the gym in the morning.
    • Students in Mr. Chmiel, Ms. Thorne, and Mme Eustace’s classes should bring their bikes to the side of the school in the morning.
    • All bikes and scooters will be available for pick-up at the end of the school day.
  • No Bike or Scooter? No Problem! If your child doesn't have a bike or scooter but has a helmet, please still send it. There might be a chance to borrow one. Students without a helmet, or those who prefer not to ride, are still encouraged to participate by walking the course.
